Logging into CRX

This page outlines how to log in to the CRX standalone site. For help with logging into UCCP, please see How to Log into UCCP.

The login page to the CRX standalone site is shown below in C-1. The user will enter their username or email and their password, and click on Log In.

Logging in for the first time/Resetting your password

If the user is new and will be logging in for the first time, they will need to set their password. The following steps will also be used for those who have forgotten their passwords, or for those that need to have their passwords reset. In the login page for CRX, the user will click on the Forgot your ID or password? link (C-2.1).

The reset password page is shown below in C-3. The user will enter their email in the Email address field (C-3.1), then click on the Submit button (C-3.2). This will show a message in the bottom-right corner of the page (C-4), and an email will be sent out to the email that was entered in this page.

The reset password email is shown below in (C-5). The user will be reminded of their username (they can also use their email address). Clicking on the Reset Password (C-5.1) link will take the user to the page to change their password.

The user will need to enter their new password twice (C-6.1). The system will let them know the complexity and strength of their password (C-6.2). Please aim for a password with a Very Strong strength and complexity message. After the desired new password has been chosen, click on the Submit Changes button (C-6.3). Once the password is accepted by the system, a success message will pop-up in the bottom-right corner of the screen (C-7). The user will now be able to log in with their new password.

PASSWORD GUIDELINES

  • Email address must not be part of the password.

  • Username must not be part of the password.

  • Contains at least:

    • one lowercase letter

    • one uppercase letter

    • one number

    • one special character (e.g. % or $ or &)

  • At least 12 characters in length

  • At least have a strong complexity.

NOTE:

If there is trouble coming up with a complex enough password, a password generator is recommended, or using a Password Management Service (such as Bitwarden), which can generate strong passwords as well as store passwords.
