Logging In/Password Help

The following are common questions with regards to logging into the UCCP system.

How do I reset my password?

If a user forgets their password or needs to reset it, the user will see the screen below (LI-10).

LI-10: Invalid Credentials

Click on the “Forgot your ID or password” link on the login screen (see LI-11):

LI-11: Link to ID/ Password Reset

The user will be directed to a different screen, where they will be asked to enter the email address or username associated with their account. The user will also be asked to enter a CAPTCHA code, which is used to verify that the user is a person and not a bot. After filling in these fields, click “Submit” (LI-12).

LI-12: Email and Verification Screen

The user will receive an email prompting them to create a new password. Click on the link in the email, which will take the user to the password reset screen. Follow the instructions on the screen to create a new password. If there are any issues with the previous steps, please contact a UCCP System Administrator, who can send the user a link via email to reset their password.

UCCP PASSWORD GUIDELINES:

PCIC’s requirements for a new password are as follows:

  • Email address must not be part of the password.

  • Username must not be part of the password.

  • Contains at least:

    • one lowercase letter

    • one uppercase letter

    • one number

    • one special character (e.g. % or $ or &)

  • At least 12 characters in length

  • At least have a strong complexity.

NOTE:

If there is trouble coming up with a complex enough password, PCIC recommends using a password generator, or using a Password Management Service (such as Bitwarden), which can generate strong passwords as well as store passwords.

I’m locked out of my account – what do I do?

If the wrong password is entered into an account too many times, the account will be locked. If a user is locked out of their account, please raise a request to unlock an account in the UCCP Help Center. This will go to a UCCP System Administrator. The UCCP System Administrator can unlock the user’s account so that they may log in with their current password. The UCCP System Administrator can also send the user an email with steps to reset their password.

How do I update the phone number used for multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

Please contact a UCCP System Administrator, or raise a request in the support portal if a user needs to update or change the mobile phone number associated with their account.
