Meeting Notes | Discussed the categorization and utilization of resources for disaster management in Houston. They agreed on classifying standard resources and pop-up resources separately, with the former being enabled immediately during a disaster. Dev. suggested adding a highlighted section for important information specific to the Houston office of emergency management. They also debated whether to include standard phone numbers as resources, considering both liability and accessibility issues. The design for flyers was noted as a separate category due to its unique design requirements. Dev. proposed adding a new flag for disaster recovery resources in the platform and creating a separate tab for easy access to these resources. The team discussed the potential need for a new set of tables for disaster recovery resources and the possibility of reusing existing resources. Betty raised concerns about the difficulty of fitting more sparse resource information into the coverage model, especially on the service level. The team agreed to streamline the data entry process for the next phase and to consider adding new fields to the existing model. Large requested Joyce to send him a list of disaster resources from taxonomy, which Li noted was not included in level 2 taxonomy. Large agreed to verify this. They also discussed the importance of efficient data storage and standardization, with Li proposing the use of a staging environment from past agencies. Large agreed, mentioning the need for additional resources. They also considered adding flags into the state into dev for testing and looked at synonyms related to disaster resources. Lastly, Large discussed the organization and search functionality of a webpage, specifically focusing on the 'referrals' section, and suggested creating a new page with similar markup to the existing one, but without the current content. |
